Want to remember Florida and the Caribbean as it once looked? Mike's vintage poster art takes you back to a time when advertisements were truly a work of art. He has created a line of vintage poster style art which will fit any Florida home trying to portray this classic look of the past.
Just the word Florida brings to mind images of swaying palm trees, white sand beaches, and a laid-back attitude. Mike's work portrays this image with his fine detailed depictions of Florida's past. Add in a hand-drawn map of various locations throughout Florida, and it makes a perfect conversation piece to hang in your home. Maps of the past often include images of the region to go along with the map. Mike has re-created this style with his detailed Florida map collection.
Not only will you find a variety of maps depicting Florida, but maps from around the world as well. Whether you're looking for a map of your favorite Bahama Island spot, or a specific area of Central America, you're sure to find it here. If not, contact Mike directly to have your own one of a kind map created just for you.
So you have come to this site and you love what you see, but you would like to have a special piece made just for you? Not a problem, get a hold of Mike, and have him create that one-of-a-kind piece just for you. The cost of a piece really depends on the size, but even more than that, how much detail you would like in the piece. An original is created by building up thousands of fine lines, so it is not something that is created in a couple hours. To give an idea of cost, a 16 x 26“ original can range anywhere between $2,400-$5,000. The best way to go about having a custom piece is, decide on your budget and get a hold of Mike to get an idea of what can be made for what you would like to spend.
Welcome to my Studio
Welcome to the “Old Florida” art of Mike Williams. This amazing Tampa Bay artist is recognized for his vintage illustrations of times past.
His drawings speak of time’s past, when boats flew and fish stories were true. They invite you to tell your own stories and dream of tales yet to be told. Mike spends countless hours, building up layers of fine lines with a pen, on each of his original drawings. Once the drawing is completed he then applies washes of color using pastels.
From the original drawing, limited edition Giclee canvas’s are made as well as signed lithographs. His work can be found in private and public collections around the world.
