Opening in 1936, Parrot Jungle represented tropical Miami. Parrot Jungle was a place for families to visit and catch a look at the long-legged Flamingos. Or to watch Pinky the Cockatoo ride his tiny bicycle across a high wire. I’m sure many adults have fond memories of their outstretched arms covered with brightly colored parrots.
