In 1982 Key West became the Nations’s capital of the Conch Republic. The Nation is a “sovereign state of mind.” The ultimate goal is to bring warmth, respect, and humor to a world in need of it. Although some believe the true reason for them to succeed was to make news and boast tourism. It may have worked, with all the visitors Key West gets it is bound to sink one day.
